LumberKings Prevail, 3-1, Over Dayton
|
Kevin Edwards pitched well, but his team, the Dayton Dragons, still dropped a 3-1 decision to the Clinton LumberKings at Fifth Third Field. Eldon Paiz closed the door for Clinton, picking up his 14th save of the year. Clinton now has a record of 46-33 with the win.
Calvin Cousineau, the 22-year old second baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Cousineau contributed a 2-run triple in the top of the second inning to put Clinton up, 2-0.
"I like what I saw today," said Clinton manager Fernando Vasquez, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
