Win Makes Great Lakes 44-35
|
The Peoria Chiefs and Great Lakes Loons delighted fans at Dow Diamond.
The Great Lakes Loons picked up a win at Dow Diamond, taking down the Peoria Chiefs, 4-0. Starting pitcher Brandon Adams was a big reason why. With the win, the Loons hiked their record to 44-35.
Henry Palmer had a big 3-run home run for the Loons in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Great Lakes leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a slider from Elek van Buren and swatted a home run to right. It was his 3rd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Loons ahead, 4-0.
Adams attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
