Watkins Delivers Walk-Off Win for River Bandits
The timely hitting of Quintiliano Duran helped the Quad Cities River Bandits down the Ames Sod Poodles, 7-4. Duran went 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the River Bandits. Layne Thrower came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 3 innings. His record now stands at 2-0. The River Bandits raised their record to 40-47.

Quad Cities got a knockout punch from Rob Watkins. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"This joint was rocking," said Duran.
