Loons Reel Off Another Win, 5-4
|
The Great Lakes Loons beat the Lansing Lugnuts, 5-4. Great Lakes pitcher and Burley, Idaho, native Brandon Adams led the way. Adams got the win, improving to 3-1. He allowed 2 hits and walked 4 over 5 innings. Adams allowed 1 run. The third-place Loons improved to 50-35.
Ray Russell had a critical at-bat with one out in the top of the seventh for Great Lakes. He came through with a 2-run single to put Great Lakes in front, 5-2.
"Eventually, the carousel ride will end," said Adams. "But for now, we'll do our best to enjoy it."
