Dodd Powers Loons to 4-1 Win
|
Soggy conditions did not keep Great Lakes and Lansing from playing their scheduled game.
Liam Dodd was a vital contributor to the 4-1 Great Lakes victory over Lansing. The Loons catcher was 2 for 2 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The Loons are now 57-33, while the Lugnuts fall to 61-29.
The game turned with one out in the top of the fourth. That's when Dodd hit a grand slam home run off Kent Nordlie. It propelled the Loons into the lead, 4-0.
"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Dodd told the Great Lakes Bulletin.
