Dayton turned a good effort from starter Renyel Vidal into a win over the Westside Woolly Mammoths at Fifth Third Field. The Dragons won the game, 3-0. Vidal got the win, improving to 5-5. He gave up 5 hits and walked 1 over 7.1 innings. He allowed no runs. Dayton has now won 4 in a row.

Dean Rao had a big 2-run home run for the Dragons in the bottom of the second inning. With Dayton leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a fastball from Stanford Spear and swatted a home run to left-center. It was his 1st home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Dragons ahead, 3-0.

"Renyel threw the ball very, very well," said Dayton manager T.J. Saddler.
