In a well-pitched game between the Toronto Blue Jays and the New York Yankees, pitcher Erubiel Martin was fantastic. The Toronto left-hander helped his team secure the win, 2-1. Getting the save was Homer Covarrubias, his 5th. The Yankees, now 2-10, continue their slow start.

It was a masterful performance from the popular Martin, who notched 12 strikeouts in 7 innings while allowing 3 hits. Martin goes to 2-0 on the year with 21 strikeouts.
