Wolverines Come Back Late to Clip TinCaps
The Flint Wolverines had to overcome a big game from Fort Wayne right fielder Amber Irving to leave Parkview Field with a victory. And they did, winning 7-6. Irving hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Flint reliever Reynaldo Machado picked up the win, upping his record to 3-3. Peyton Grayson shouldered the loss. The Wolverines now have a mark of 37-74.

Flint used the bat of Sam Myrick to capture the win. The catcher jacked a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Wolverines ahead, 3-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Myrick, "and then get after it again."
