Clinton LumberKings starter Puddy Ralph found his groove in his team's 2-0 win over the Ames Sod Poodles. The loss makes Ames 55-61.

The game was on the line with two out in the top of the eighth inning, but Lai Chamlong didn't flinch. With runners on 1st and 2nd and Ames trailing 2-0, Chamlong retired Robert Riske to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Chamlong, with a wink.
