Peoria pitcher Brady Brown did his part in helping his team beat the Quad Cities River Bandits, 7-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Joe Lewis picked up the save, his 2nd. Peoria currently is in 8th place in the Midwest League Western Division at 47-67.

The Chiefs got a big at-bat from left fielder Brett Becerra. For the game, Becerra went 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. In the top of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Peoria a 2-0 lead.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Becerra.
