Cedar Rapids Grabs 5-4 Road Win
|
The Cedar Rapids Haymakers dumped the Beloit Snappers, 5-4, in large part due to right fielder Felix Gleason. On the day, Gleason was 3 for 5 with 3 doubles. He drove in 4 runs for the Haymakers. The win belongs to Levi Maiotti in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Jake Barker took the loss for Beloit. Gordon Rauth earned the save, his 15th.
Gleason was 3-5 with 3 doubles, while adding 4 RBI against the Snappers. With the game tied in the top of the ninth inning, he hit a run-scoring double that put Cedar Rapids in front, 5-4.
"If it's down the middle," said Gleason, "you might as well hit it."
The last-place Haymakers go to 46-77.
