The performance of Patrick Nosonovsky proved critical in helping Clinton beat Westside, 8-4. The LumberKings third baseman went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The win went to Ace Thomas in relief, making him now 1-0. Oakley Rodriguez took the loss for Westside. The first-place LumberKings, at 81-40, lead the Midwest League Western Division by 4 games.

Clinton took the lead, 5-4, on Skylar Burns's 1st triple of the season. The 2-run triple, which Burns hit in the bottom of the eighth, made Westside pitcher Oakley Rodriguez wince.

"We didn't pitch good, and when you don't pitch good, you lose," said Westside manager Ken Mouw.
