The Westside Woolly Mammoths had no problem beating the Fort Wayne TinCaps, 14-3, at Parkview Field. Darren Cheek led the way. He went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5 for Westside. The 7th-place Woolly Mammoths lifted their record to 56-65.

With Westside leading 4-3 in the top of the fourth, Cheek hit a fastball from Vicente Benjumea for a grand slam home run. It was his 17th home run of the season and put the Woolly Mammoths ahead, 8-3.

"It feels good to get this one," Cheek told the Westside Daily.
