The Fort Wayne TinCaps beat the South Bend Cubs, 7-6, at Four Winds Field at Coveleski Stadium. Fort Wayne center fielder Matro Reyes banged out 3 singles and 1 double, while driving in 3 runs. The TinCaps improved their record to 55-79 with the win over South Bend.

It could have been a different outcome for Fort Wayne, had it not been for Clyde Rona, the 22-year old right fielder . Rona contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put Fort Wayne up, 7-6.

"Every time I go up there, I try and hit a ball hard," said Reyes.
