Barrera Delivers Walk-Off Win for Catfish
The Columbus Catfish picked up a win at Progressive Field, knocking off the Columbia Fireflies, 6-5. On the mound for Columbus was right-hander Randall Futch, who played a pivotal role in the win. R.J. Sousa, now 1-0, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 2 and walking 0. The Catfish raised their record to 2-0.

The Catfish procured the win, in large part because of designated hitter Duaner Barrera. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.

"It was a test of wills," said Francisco Avalos, the Columbus skipper. "I'm glad we came out of it with a win."
