The Greenville Drive powered past the Rome Braves, 11-6, at Fluor Field at the West End. Divine Nogues provided some of the pop. He went 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. Pablo Feliciano was the winner. He's now 2-0. The loser was 23-year old right-handed pitcher Damien Ryder. Matt Klinker earned the save for Greenville.

An inflection point occurred with one out in the bottom of the fifth. That's when Drive center fielder Jacob Luttrell hit a slider from Damien Ryder for a 2-run single. Just like that, Greenville was up, 5-4.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Drive manager Tim Fox. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."

The Drive, now 4-2, have played some good baseball in the early going.
