Del Castillo Pounds 2 Homers in 9-3 Grasshoppers Win
The Greensboro Grasshoppers stopped the Charleston RiverDogs, 9-3, at NewBridge Bank Park. The Grasshoppers got a big game from Gabriel Del Castillo, who went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. The winner was Joseph Scott, who threw 81 pitches over 5.2 innings. The right-hander was charged with 2 runs on 3 hits. The loss drops Charleston to 1-5.

Del Castillo contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Greensboro in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Del Castillo took a fastball from Johan Rosas and stroked the home run to right-center. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Grasshoppers to leap in front, 3-1.

"We're in a little funk right now and we've just got to get ourselves out of it," said Charleston manager Ramon Acosta.
