Crawdads Absorb 3-2 Loss at NewBridge Bank Park
The Greensboro Grasshoppers and Hickory Crawdads played a tight game with the hosts claiming a hard-fought win.

Greensboro Grasshoppers starter Jaxson Reid turned in a top-notch performance against the Hickory Crawdads at NewBridge Bank Park. The result was a win for the Grasshoppers, 3-2. Nathan Oko finished to wrap up his 3rd save.

The Grasshoppers got a big boost from designated hitter Santiago Suárez who had a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the second inning off Crawdads hurler Weldon Brooks. It was his 1st walk of the season and put Greensboro on top, 1-0.

"Jaxson was throwing free and easy," said Greensboro manager Bryce Scott.

Hickory falls to 4-4.
