|

Tom Spears, the winning pitcher, improved to 2-0. He pitched 6.1 innings, giving up 7 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 6 and walking 3. Moises Mata wrapped it up, recording his 1st save.
Lakewood took control in the top of the seventh. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Reese Neal hit a 2-run single to make it 3-1, BlueClaws.
