Diffley Excels, Lakewood Blows Out Lexington
The Lakewood BlueClaws pasted the Lexington Legends with a convincing 13-3 defeat at Lake Olmstead Stadium. Gabe Diffley was a prime factor in the Lakewood win. He was 4-5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 and driving in 5. Bodie Friedman got the win, improving to 1-0. He worked 6.1 innings, giving up 3 runs on 10 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 1. Now 1-12, the 2064 Legends have played a subpar brand of baseball so far.

With Lakewood leading 2-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Diffley hit a fastball from Joey Stilwell for a 2-run double. It was his 3rd double of the season and put the BlueClaws ahead, 4-0.
