Suns Stay Hot with Extra-Inning Win
|
Fans who congregated at Ballpark of Hagerstown were treated to extra-inning drama.
Jack Johnson was outstanding against Greenville. The left-hander had a knuckle curve that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Suns 4-2 win. The win gives Hagerstown a record of 14-2.
Hagerstown won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With one out and Sully Daniels on the mound for Greenville, first baseman Tye Blake hit a dramatic 2-run home run, bringing Suns fans to their feet.
"Winning is contagious," said Blake. "We're looking forward to the next game."
