Hot Rods Stick Intimidators with 3-0 Loss
|
Bowling Green pitcher Pedro Ford did his part in helping his team beat the Kannapolis Intimidators, 3-0. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Ford picked up the win for Bowling Green, going 6 innings. He gave up no runs on 2 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0. The save went to Keith Shea, his 3rd this season.
Bowling Green used the timely hitting of Jimmy Rocha to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Hot Rods on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Good win for us," said Ford. "We'll strap it on and go after the next one."
Early on, the Hot Rods, at 10-3, have put the pedal to the metal.
