Parker Goes 5-for-5 Against Lexington
|
Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Jonesboro's 6-2 win over Lexington, center fielder Robby Parker was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Whitaker Bank Ballpark.
"To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Parker said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close."
Robby Parker singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Santiago Borrego in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Marco Mendez in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
Thus far this year, Parker is batting .294 with 4 home runs, 9 RBIs and 12 runs scored.
