BlueClaws Snag 2-1 Win
|
Lakewood BlueClaws starter Evan Kingsley was dealing. He helped his team knock off the West Virginia Power, 2-1. Lakewood reliever Lee Hege was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Nur Kim took the loss. The win brings the BlueClaws to 6-17, an awful start for a team that made the playoffs just last season.
Lakewood took a 2-1 lead on Cápulet Atlas's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off West Virginia pitcher Nur Kim in the bottom of the eighth.
"We'll sip on a cold one and savor this win," said Atlas.
