The Lakewood BlueClaws wasted an impressive 7-inning effort from starter Danny Nelson, falling 2-1 to the West Virginia Power at Lake Olmstead Stadium. Jeremiah McGarth recorded the save, his 6th. Lakewood, now 6-18, continues its tough start.

West Virginia used a timely hit from Matt McGrane to get the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Power ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said McGrane.
