Victory Over Fireflies Takes Rome to 14-9
|
Rome and Columbia got after it at State Mutual Stadium.
Rome turned a good effort from starter Don Gahm into a win over the Columbia Fireflies at State Mutual Stadium. The final score was 5-2. Gahm picked up the win for Rome, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 3-1.
The Braves got a gift in the bottom of the sixth inning, when they were leading 3-2. With two out and the bases loaded, Vincent Glass reached on an error by the 2B, driving in 2 runs. It made the score 5-2, Rome.
"I was able to really locate my pitches tonight," said Gahm.
The Braves raised their record to 14-9.
