Bananas Fall Short, 3-2, at Kannapolis
|
Kannapolis turned a good effort from starter Christian Hinspeter into a win over the Savannah Bananas at CMC-NorthEast Stadium. The Intimidators won the game, 3-2. Hinspeter, now 2-0, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 4, walking 0, and allowing 2 runs. The Intimidators, now 14-7, have been red hot.
The Intimidators got a big at-bat from first baseman Samuel Camacho. For the game, Camacho was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Kannapolis a 3-2 lead.
"I like the roll we're on," said Kannapolis manager Carlos Saucedo.
