In a well-pitched game between the Rome Braves and the Lexington Legends, pitcher Ace Hoffman was fantastic. The Rome left-hander helped his team secure the win, 3-0. The Legends, now 7-20, continue their poor start.

The game was on the line with two out in the top of the seventh inning, but Rex Kovary didn't flinch. With runners on 1st and 2nd and Lexington trailing 2-0, Kovary retired Diggory Kay to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Kovary, with a wink.
