Victory Pushes Bananas Record to 17-11
|
The Savannah Bananas picked up a win at Ballpark of Savannah, knocking off the Hagerstown Suns, 3-2. Starting pitcher Braden Snodgrass was an essential part of his team's success. The winning pitcher was Snodgrass, now 2-0. He tossed 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 5. Herman Mills finished the game for Savannah and earned his 6th save.
The Bananas got a big at-bat from third baseman C.J. Masse. For the game, Masse went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Savannah a 2-0 lead.
"I just try to put up zeroes," said Snodgrass, "and let the rest take care of itself."
The win lifted the Savannah record to 17-11.
