The West Virginia Power soundly defeated the Lexington Legends, 14-0, at Appalachian Power Park. Jake McConnell, who is tied for 7th in the SAL in home runs with 6, let his bat do the talking. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for West Virginia. The current losing streak for Lexington has reached 8 games.

West Virginia got a big at-bat from North Arlington, New Jersey native Eric Coffman, who in the bottom of the third hit a grand slam home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Power ahead, 8-0.

"It's a humbling game and right now we're being humbled in a lot of different areas," said Lexington manager Jonathan Barfield.
