Power Rally to Eke Out Win
|
West Virginia turned a fine outing from starter Larry Pepping into a victory over the Kannapolis Intimidators at CMC-NorthEast Stadium. The final score was 2-1 in 10 innings. Finley Wade got the save, the 8th for him this season. The win makes West Virginia 15-15.
West Virginia used the timely hitting of Ezra Mooney to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Power on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Kannapolis manager Carlos Saucedo.
