Mora Homers Twice in 9-1 Mariners Win
The 9-1 Seattle win over Tampa Bay was due largely to Columbus Mora. The Mariners center fielder was 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. Theodore Ozimek was the winner. He's now 1-0. The loser was 25-year old right-handed pitcher Chase Pellini. The Mariners, now 10-5, have been red hot.

With Seattle leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Mora hit a changeup from Chase Pellini for a solo home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Mariners ahead, 2-0.

"Their at-bats were really impressive against us," said losing manager A.J. Trentman.
