The Delmarva Shorebirds extended their winning streak.

The Delmarva Shorebirds topped the Savannah Bananas, 9-3, with youngster Sean Daigle playing a key role. Daigle was 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Shorebirds in the win. Brad Fisher got the win, improving to 4-2. He worked 6 innings, giving up no runs on 3 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2.

With Delmarva leading 4-0 in the top of the second, Daigle came up to bat against Savannah pitcher Colton Figueroa. Daigle hit a fastball to left-center for a 3-run home run. His 4th home run of the season put the Shorebirds on top, 7-0.

"I like how we're playing right now," said Daigle.

The win puts Delmarva at 20-17 this season.
