Behind the hitting of Royce Dickerson, the Rome Braves clipped the Asheville Tourists, 6-4. Dickerson was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Braves. Orson Zimmer locked down his 12th save.
In the top of the third of a scoreless game, Dickerson hit a 3-run home run to put his team ahead.
"I've been criticized for being a slacker, but the one thing I do care about is winning," Dickerson told the Rome Daily.
Rome is now 20-19.
