Hot Rods Rally For Late Win Over BlueClaws
Fans saw a dandy of a game between the Bowling Green Hot Rods and Lakewood BlueClaws.

Lakewood wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Jimmy Holland, falling to the Bowling Green Hot Rods, 3-2. Holland threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. Steven Richardson, now 2-1, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on 2 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 0. Keith Shea locked down his 11th save.

Ace Hill, who leads the SAL in hits with 50, chipped in for Bowling Green with a solo home run in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 1 RBI.

Hill said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.

The Hot Rods have now won 5 straight.
