McMahan Jacks Two Home Runs in 4-1 Bowling Green Win
|
Bowling Green and Lakewood got after it at Bowling Green Ballpark.
Hot Rods shortstop Samuel McMahan put his stamp on his team's 4-1 win over the Lakewood BlueClaws. McMahan hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 2 for Bowling Green in the contest. Bowling Green has now reeled off 6 straight wins.
The Hot Rods got a big at-bat from first baseman Jamil Johnson. For the game, Johnson was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Bowling Green a 2-0 lead.
"We'll take some time to unwind," said Johnson, "and then get after it again."
