Lexington beat Hagerstown on the strength of starter Steve Bajic's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 5-2. Mal Platt earned the save, his 6th. Lexington is last in the South Atlantic League Northwest Division with a record of 11-33.

The Suns had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Legends going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old left fielder Jonah Weeks came to the plate. Weeks hit a 2-run home run on a 2-2 curveball from Hagerstown hurler Yoyo Ramos. It was Weeks's 5th home run of the year.

In comments to the Lexington Citizen, Weeks admitted he's been told to improve his work habits. "But," he said, "I know when to take it to another gear."
