Drive Lose Again, 2-1, to Shorebirds
|
Delmarva beat Greenville at Fluor Field at the West End, escaping with a 2-1 win. The win in large part was due to third baseman Iñigo Magpusar. He was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The slumping Drive have lost 8 straight.
Magpusar had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 0-2 curveball from Rick Nitti, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Shorebirds a 2-0 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for Magpusar.
"Slowly but surely, the wins are piling up," said Magpusar.
