Lexington Gets Another L
The Delmarva Shorebirds powered past the Lexington Legends, 11-5, at Whitaker Bank Ballpark. Ramón Galvan provided some of the pop. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Andy Joseph got the win, improving to 5-1. He held the Legends to 3 runs on 6 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 1. Delmarva sits in 5th place in the South Atlantic League Northwest Division at 25-20.

With Delmarva leading 8-3 in the top of the sixth, Galvan came up to bat against Lexington pitcher Lee Lyons. Galvan hit a fastball to left for a 3-run home run. His 5th home run of the season put the Shorebirds on top, 11-3.

"I warned the team before the game," losing manager Daniel Mojica told reporters, "that I'm wearing the same pair of undies until we win."
