The Virginia Black Bears knocked off the Memphis Blues, 4-3, at The Sparrow's Nest. Rodd Marshall was a big reason Virginia won. The first baseman went 4-5 with a double and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI. Virginia reliever Prospero González picked up the win, raising his record to 2-0. Aaron Yeomans was tagged with the loss. With the win, Virginia goes to 6-10.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Marshall hit a fastball from Aaron Yeomans for a run-scoring single. The Black Bears, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," Marshall said.
