The Hickory Crawdads could not turn a fine performance from pitcher A.J. Estrada into a win. Instead, the Asheville Tourists prevailed, 2-0, in 11 innings. Estrada threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball. The winner in relief was Elmore Neville. He is now 1-7. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. Their 18-34 record puts the Tourists 8th in the South Atlantic League Carolina Division.

Logan Kays had a direct impact on the outcome. Kays contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the 11th inning to put Asheville up, 1-0.
