Grasshoppers Down Power, 6-1

The Greensboro Grasshoppers topped the West Virginia Power, 6-1, in South Atlantic League action at Appalachian Power Park. The standout performance belonged to Greensboro pitcher and Rancho Santa Margarita, California, native Nolan Parks. The Grasshoppers go to 35-17, putting them first in the South Atlantic League Carolina Division.
Dale Page made an early impact for Greensboro when he stroked his 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which came with no one out in the top of the second, put the Grasshoppers on top, 3-0.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Parks said.
