7-4 Win Gets Asheville to 34-32
|
Asheville Tourists starter Bill Hancock was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Savannah Bananas, 7-4. Jarron Leigh picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-2. B.J. Lorenz was tagged with the loss. Asheville raised its record to 34-32 with the win.
Asheville took a 7-3 lead on Dave Bonhomme's 4th home run of the season. The grand slam home run came off Savannah pitcher B.J. Lorenz in the bottom of the seventh.
"Bill is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Asheville manager Orlando Lopez.
