Delmarva Gets 2-1 Win
|
The Delmarva Shorebirds picked up a win at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park, knocking off the Charleston RiverDogs, 2-1. On the mound for Delmarva was right-hander Bernardo Sanders, who played a pivotal role in the win. After today's action, Delmarva sits at 45-22; Charleston slips to 34-33.
Tyler Robison, the 24-year old first baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Robison contributed a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning to put Delmarva up, 2-0.
"Both teams played hard," said Delmarva manager Carlos Soto.
