The West Virginia Power called upon starter Alberto Parra, and he delivered, leading his team to victory over the Kannapolis Intimidators, 5-2. Parra, the winner, moves to 4-3. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 9 and giving up 2 walks. The save went to Jeremiah McGarth, his 18th this season.
Josiah Huff, the 23-year old second baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Huff contributed a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put West Virginia up, 3-0.
