Suns Walk It Off for 15th Win of Season
|
Rome pitcher Evan Eget gave the Suns all they could handle, but in the end, Hagerstown left Ballpark of Hagerstown with a win, 1-0. Eget allowed no runs on 2 hits over 8.1 innings. With the win, the Suns have a record of 15-57.
The decisive blow was delivered by Winston Gold in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a solo home run off 23-year old right-handed pitcher Kayden Oppenheimer to win the game for Hagerstown. The home crowd went nuts.
Hagerstown manager Matt Hartford called it "a darn good win."
