Grasshoppers Topple Bananas, 7-1, as Robinson Shines
The Greensboro Grasshoppers beat the Savannah Bananas, 7-1, at NewBridge Bank Park. The win was due in part to shortstop Matt Robinson, who slugged 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Greensboro pitcher Kenny Hickey earned the win, hiking his record to 1-1. K.J. Nelson suffered the loss. The second-place Grasshoppers are 47-23.

With Greensboro leading 2-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Robinson hit a fastball from K.J. Nelson for a grand slam home run. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Grasshoppers ahead, 6-0.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Greensboro manager Bryce Scott.
