Harmon, West Virginia Prevail in Pitchers' Duel
|
The West Virginia Power topped the Asheville Tourists, 2-0, in South Atlantic League action at McCormick Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of West Virginia pitcher Jason Harmon. Jeremiah McGarth was credited with the save for West Virginia, his 19th of the season. The 5th-place Power lifted their record to 38-36.
In his 93-pitch effort, Harmon allowed no runs on 2 hits over 7 innings. He walked 1 and struck out 7.
"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Harmon.
