Tourists Win 4-3 Walk-Off
|
The Asheville Tourists topped the West Virginia Power by a score of 4-3. Leading the way was first baseman Dave Bonhomme. Bonhomme was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Tourists. Ross Allen earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record is now 2-4. Asheville is now 37-38.
The Tourists relied on right fielder David Mark for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 11th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.
"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Mark said.
