Drive Win in Glorious Fashion, 2-1
|
Randy Churchill was in top form in a low-scoring contest between Greenville and Columbus. The Drive right-hander helped his team beat the Catfish, 2-1. Greenville now sits in last place in the South Atlantic League Carolina Division at 20-54.
Greenville won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With no outs and R.J. Sousa on the mound for Columbus, third baseman Colt Galjour hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Drive fans to their feet.
"We battled our tails off to get this win," said Greenville manager Tim Fox.
